Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide a better user experience, and to provide information to website operators.
Cookies set by the website operator (in this case, AK Dubrovnik Racing) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by third parties are called "third-party cookies" and enable features or functionality provided by external services (such as analytics or advertising).
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for several purposes. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function, while others help us improve your experience or enable analytics. Non-essential cookies are only set after you give your explicit consent through our cookie consent banner.
3. Strictly Necessary Data
Some data is essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled. This includes your language preference and cookie consent choice, stored locally on your device via your browser's local storage.
NEXT_LOCALE - Stores your selected language preference. Duration: session. First-party cookie.
cookie-consent - Stores your cookie consent preferences (necessary, analytics, marketing flags + policy version). Stored in local storage (not a cookie). Persistent. First-party.
clarity-visitor-id - Session-scoped anonymous identifier used by Microsoft Clarity to associate page views within a single session. Stored in sessionStorage and cleared when you close the tab. First-party. Loaded only after analytics consent.
This data does not collect personal information that identifies you and is exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive.
4. Analytics
Analytics are only enabled if you provide explicit consent. We use two analytics services:
Umami - a privacy-focused analytics platform that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Umami collects anonymized, aggregated information such as pages visited, referral source, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location. No IP addresses are stored and no data can be used to identify individual users.
Microsoft Clarity - records visual replays of your session including mouse movement, scrolling, clicks, and DOM changes, and produces heatmaps. We mask all form inputs and known sensitive elements, but no masking is perfect — please do not enter sensitive personal data into any form on our site. Clarity uses first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. Data is transmitted to Microsoft Corporation in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement (privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).
5. Third-Party Embeds & Services
YouTube videos: Our website embeds videos from YouTube using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube does not store cookies or collect data about you when you simply view a page containing a video. If you click to play a video, YouTube may set cookies (such as session cookies) to deliver the video content. These cookies are set by Google/YouTube, not by us, and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Google Maps: Our Getting There page can embed an interactive Google Maps view. The embed is not loaded automatically — you must click "Load Google Maps" first. The click is your consent to transmit your IP address and other technical data to Google (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC). Details: policies.google.com/privacy.
Spotify: Our Festival page can embed a Spotify track player. The player is not loaded automatically — you must click "Load Spotify" first. The click is your consent to transmit your IP address to Spotify (Spotify AB, Sweden). Details: spotify.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Sentry (error monitoring): We use Sentry to detect and diagnose technical errors. Server-side monitoring runs at all times based on our legitimate interest, with personal identifiers (IP addresses, authorization headers, cookies, email-pattern strings) stripped before transmission. Client-side error reporting and Session Replay (a recording of the page state at the moment an error occurs, with all text and form inputs masked) loads only after you give analytics consent. Data is processed in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy.
6. Managing Your Preferences
When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You can choose to accept all, reject non-essential, or customize your preferences by category (necessary, analytics).
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of any page.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, please note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of this website.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we add new cookie categories or significantly change how we use cookies, we will re-request your consent. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
8. Contact
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at [email protected].
